This is not a joke! Check the web please. You’ll stumble upon a website run by the Society for Flat and Stationary Earth! The Society represents a religious belief in ancient ideas proposed by Aristotle and Ptolemy and advanced by contemporary biblical cosmology advocating a flat, stationary and square Earth in utter contradiction to overwhelming scientific proofs stating otherwise.
Stunning as it may seem, In Her Orbit: Day In, Day Out doesn’t set out to mock the idiocy of such claims heralded in 1893 and still thriving! In Her Orbit’s main drive is to depict a scientific picture of an Earth that happens to be in amazing harmony with one word in one verse in the Qur’an, verse 5 Chapter 39. The word is: Youkawwer — God rotates — revolves the Earth coiling the day by the night and vice versa.
In this 30 minute documentary various ideas, ancient and modern are being explored. The history of theories around the motion of planet Earth is fascinating. Startling results are shown confirming the Qur’an’s authenticity in this respect.
The film comes in seventh in a 7-part series titled: Gates of Heaven (2013).
